pilates
Pilates is a positive and kind way of exercising, toning and sculpting your body, suitable for people of all ages and levels of ability and fitness. Mindful movement focuses on increasing core strength, muscular balance and tone, realigning the spine (thus improving posture) and strengthening and lengthening the body. The emphasis on the use of breath helps to calm and focus the mind, relieving stress and tension. Classes are conducted in a friendly and welcoming environment, encouraging each individual to work to their potential and find the correct challenges for their body.
I’m a great believer that Pilates is for every body of every age.
We’ve recently introduced a new group session specifically aimed at Men aged over 55. These special classes will be tailored to strengthen the body and core - improving posture, realigning the spine and to improve, maintain and regain mobility and flexibility needed for everyday life.

“Sally carefully considers individuals’ needs and describes each exercise brilliantly, which means we get the best out of it. Sally varies each session keeping it fresh and interesting. I find it so enjoyable and energising.”

“Having not done any pilates or yoga for over a decade, I was understandably apprehensive about joining a class again - but I needn’t have worried. Sally instantly made me feel welcome and helped me rediscover muscles I had forgotten I had. She always explains moves very carefully and suggests alternative positions if I struggle. With her cheerful personality and personal approach, every lesson is fun and rewarding.”
